Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using point of sale systems.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and concerns courteously.
• Balance cash drawers by ensuring amounts are correct and appropriately stored.
• Maintain a high level of store cleanliness and organization on a daily basis.
• Keep track of inventory and report items that are running low in stock.
• Assist customers with locating products throughout the store or recommending items.
• Resolve any customer complaints or refer them to a supervisor if needed.
• Greet customers as they enter and leave the store, creating a friendly atmosphere.
• Ensure pricing is correct for all products at the checkout counter.
• Assist in training new cashiers or other team members whenever necessary.
• Handle returns and exchanges efficiently while adhering to company policies.
• Participate in promotional activities by suggesting appropriate deals to customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification is required.
• Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service is preferred.
• Strong numerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in transactions.
• Ability to manage a fast-paced work environment and multitasking capabilities.
• Friendly and approachable demeanor coupled with excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in operating standard point of sale systems and cash registers.
• Ability to stand and work for extended periods, including weekends and holidays.
