Job Description

The Cargo Operations Agent 11N25 is a critical role in ensuring the efficient and timely handling of cargo operations. This position involves coordinating and managing the day-to-day operations related to the movement of goods, maintaining communication with clients and partners, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. The agent will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, providing excellent customer service, and resolving any issues that may arise during the cargo handling process. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of cargo operations, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances quickly.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee daily cargo operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain communication with clients and partners to ensure service excellence.
  • Ensure all cargo documentation is complete and compliant with regulations.
  • Manage scheduling and allocation of resources for optimal cargo throughput.
  • Assist in resolving operational issues and troubleshooting challenges effectively.
  • Monitor and track cargo movement to ensure timely delivery and receipt.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks to meet safety standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior staff and new team members.
  • Prepare reports on cargo operations and present findings to management.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Liaise with customs and border authorities for clearance and compliance matters.
  • Handle customer inquiries and provide solutions in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is an advantage.
  • Proven experience in cargo operations or relevant logistics role.
  • Strong understanding of cargo handling procedures and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in using cargo management systems and software applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quickly.
