About Wynn Al Marjan Island:

On schedule to open in the United Arab Emirates in Spring 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island has been created as an opulent and entertaining beachside destination for discerning guests to play and relax. Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, nightclub, and five-star spa is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.

About The Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Captain – Yacht Operations to join the resort’s Yacht Operations team.

Responsibilities

The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:

• Safely operate and navigate the yacht, including piloting, berthing, and manoeuvring at sea and within marinas
• Maintain full command and operational oversight of the vessel, crew, and onboard activities
• Coordinate and supervise onboard operations, including private gaming, banqueting, and exclusive events
• Ensure full compliance with all applicable UAE maritime laws, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Uphold the highest standards of vessel maintenance, cleanliness, and equipment functionality
• Communicate effectively with the Director of Marina Operations, guests, and relevant stakeholders
• Ensure guest comfort, safety, and satisfaction at all times
• Plan and execute itineraries, taking into consideration weather conditions, navigational safety, and guest preferences
• Oversee and coordinate routine and corrective maintenance, repairs, and inspections of the vessel
• Lead emergency response procedures and ensure crew preparedness through drills and training
  
  

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Valid and recognized Captain’s License appropriate for vessel size and operational area (e.g., Master 500 GT, Master 3000 GT, or equivalent).
• STCW 95 / STCW 2010 certification (fully compliant and up to date).
• Extensive seafaring experience, preferably commanding private or luxury yachts
• Demonstrated leadership and crew management experience
• In-depth knowledge of maritime laws, regulations, and best practices, particularly within the UAE
• Strong competency in emergency response, safety management, and risk mitigation
• Experience overseeing yacht maintenance, engineering systems, and technical operations
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and guest-relations skills
• Sound decision-making ability under pressure
• High level of physical fitness, health, and stamina
