Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cafe Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bustling cafe. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and a flair for customer service, ensuring each guest leaves with a memorable experience. As a Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining cafe cleanliness, ensuring inventory is stocked, and analyzing financial performance to make necessary adjustments. You will play a critical role in driving the cafe’s success by implementing strategies that increase sales, improve productivity, and enhance customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily cafe operations, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing patrons.
  • Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to maintain efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations for a safe working environment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders to ensure adequate stock is maintained.
  • Handle customer complaints and inquiries with professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Implement cost control measures to maximize profitability and minimize waste.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and conditions for supplies.
  • Manage financial budgeting and report on monthly sales and revenue targets.
  • Lead team meetings to communicate goals, feedback, and new initiatives effectively.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work culture for all staff members and patrons.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and integrate them into the cafe’s offerings.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in hospitality.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and point-of-sale software.
  • Ability to solve problems promptly and make critical decisions under pressure.
  • Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Passion for coffee, food, and delivering outstanding customer experiences.
