B&N CADD Technician Responsibilities
Provide CADD support for transportation projects using AutoCAD and Bentley design platforms
Assist in the development, preparation, and labeling of preliminary layouts, detailed design drawings, and construction plans from engineering notes, sketches, markups, and other reference materials
Work directly with project engineers and design staff to develop plan sets and construction documents for a variety of transportation projects
Support the setup, organization, and maintenance of CADD workspaces, including standards, templates, reference files, and related project resources
Help manage drawing files and workspace tools to promote consistency, quality, and efficiency across projects and teams
Provide drafting and design support for projects of varying size and complexity serving multiple clients
Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in drafting/design technology or a related field preferred
0–2 years of related CADD experience
Certificate in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bentley products, or related coursework/experience preferred
Familiarity with AutoCAD and Bentley products such as MicroStation preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to work within established CADD standards and file management practices
High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
