Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented CAD Technician to join our team! In this role you will get to assist the team in roads and Infrastructure Projects as a CAD Technician.

What You'll Be Doing

• Prepare and revise engineering drawings using AutoCAD and other approved software.
• Develop detailed drawings for roads, highways, interchanges, bridges, tunnels, drainage, utilities, and traffic diversions.
• Maintain drawing registers and document control records.
• Incorporate engineers’ comments and design changes into drawings promptly.
• Prepare and update as-built drawings based on site records and survey information.
• Coordinate drawing interfaces between civil, structural, utility, and traffic disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with client, authority, and project CAD standards.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, sketches, and technical exhibits.
• Support quantity take-offs and measurement drawings when required.
• Maintain electronic filing systems and project drawing databases.
• Review contractor-submitted drawings for completeness and drafting quality.
• Provide drafting support during construction, testing, commissioning, and handover stages.
  
  
  

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering, Drafting, CAD Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 7-8 years of CAD drafting experience on roads and infrastructure projects.
• Experience in bridge and tunnel projects is preferred.
• UAE/GCC experience is highly desirable.
  
  
  

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D and/or MicroStation is advantageous.
• Understanding of road geometry, utilities, bridge components, and tunnel layouts.
• Knowledge of engineering drawing standards and authority requirements.
• Ability to prepare detailed construction and as-built drawings.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
