Responsibilities

• Develop detailed technical drawings based on architectural and engineering specifications.
• Create, edit, and modify CAD designs to meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand project scope and objectives.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and company policies.
• Participate in design review meetings to provide insights and improvements.
• Maintain an organized library of design templates and reference materials.
• Convert sketches and verbal instructions into technical documents and plans.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and material takeoffs from designs.
• Update and revise designs as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay informed about advancements in CAD software and industry trends.
• Prepare 2D and 3D models to visualize project concepts effectively.
• Coordinate with external vendors to ensure manufacturability of designed components.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience working as a CAD Draftsperson or similar role.
• Proficiency in CAD software applications such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit.
• Strong understanding of design principles and engineering standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of materials and production processes relevant to industry-specific projects.
• Capability to interpret and execute complex technical instructions effectively.
