Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Buyer to join our dynamic purchasing team. As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain operations, responsible for sourcing and procuring high-quality products at competitive prices while ensuring timely delivery. You will collaborate closely with suppliers and internal departments such as sales, marketing, and finance to develop and execute purchasing strategies. Your analytical skills and negotiation capabilities will be essential to optimizing our inventory levels, maintaining cost efficiencies, and enhancing supplier relationships. Responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential suppliers, evaluating them based on quality, pricing, and reliability.
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing to achieve cost-effective procurement strategies.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance for optimal procurement decisions.
  • Collaborate with department managers to determine product specifications and demand forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and vendors.
  • Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Analyze inventory levels and sales forecasts to minimize overstock and out-of-stock occurrences.
  • Resolve any issues related to purchase orders, including delivery delays and quality discrepancies.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Strategically source new products and services to support business growth and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and ethical standards in all dealings.
  • Liaise with finance department to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years experience working as a Buyer in a similar environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and proven ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in procuring tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
