Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Buyer to join our procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, goods, and services necessary for our operations. You will work closely with suppliers to ensure that our organization procures the highest quality products at the most competitive prices. As a strategic thinker, you will analyze market trends and supplier performance, make informed purchasing decisions, and maintain strong relationships with vendors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail to ensure that all purchases meet our company's standards in terms of quality and cost-efficiency.


Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
  • Analyze market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Coordinate the purchase of materials, goods, and services to meet production schedules.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to avoid stockouts and overages.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand and meet their procurement needs.
  • Review purchase orders for accuracy and completeness before submission to suppliers.
  • Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and quality standards.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers in a timely and effective manner.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of purchasing activities and supplier information.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful supplier agreements.
  • Excellent analytical skills to assess supplier performance and market trends.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in all purchasing activities.
