Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to join our procurement team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our company maintains optimal inventory levels, cost-efficiency, and product quality. As a Buyer, you will work closely with suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and oversee the purchasing process from start to end. Your ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with vendors and team members will be pivotal to your success in this role. The ideal candidate will have a keen sense of market trends, be capable of managing multiple tasks, and driven to contribute significantly to the organization's bottom line.


Responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential suppliers for key products and materials.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with vendors to achieve best offers.
  • Maintain strong relationships and communication lines with existing suppliers.
  • Manage purchase orders effectively from inception to completion of the transaction.
  • Analyze and monitor industry trends to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate inventory management across multiple categories.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to align purchasing with company goals.
  • Conduct regular reviews to ensure supplier compliance and performance levels.
  • Keep detailed records of procurement activities for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Develop and implement efficient purchasing strategies to improve cost savings.
  • Resolve supplier issues, discrepancies, and disputes promptly and professionally.
  • Participate in vendor evaluation and selection processes for new product lines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a purchasing or buying role.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills with a results-oriented approach.
  • Ability to analyze data to drive procurement and inventory decisions effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software applications.
  • Solid understanding of industry market trends and product knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
