Job Description

As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain management. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our company acquires the necessary products and materials at the best possible prices, maintaining quality standards. You will be tasked with managing supplier relationships, negotiating terms, and analyzing market trends to make informed purchasing decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and a keen eye for detail. Your role will be critical in maintaining inventory levels that meet customer demand, ensuring continuity of supply, and contributing to the company’s overall profitability.


Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to discover the most viable options.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to optimize costs.
  • Analyze market trends to anticipate shifts in supply and demand efficiently.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to forecast future purchasing needs accurately.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply and resolve issues.
  • Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as needed to maintain optimal stock.
  • Perform cost analysis to support strategic purchasing decisions and budgeting.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Keep accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Develop strategies to enhance purchasing methods and reduce costs.
  • Lead and participate in projects related to procurement and supply chain optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Buyer, Purchasing Agent, or a similar role.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a keen understanding of market dynamics.
  • Excellent analytical abilities to interpret purchasing and market data.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Proficiency in purchasing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to manage supplier relations effectively.
  • Understanding of supply chain procedures and cost management strategies.
  • A proactive approach to developing solutions and strategies for purchasing.
