Job Description

As a Buyer at our company, you will play a critical role in the supply chain management process, ensuring that our organization secures the highest quality products at competitive prices. You will be responsible for procuring goods and services that meet organizational needs and negotiating contracts that reflect the company’s best interests. Our Buyers must demonstrate excellent market analysis skills and a keen understanding of industry-specific trends to make informed purchasing decisions. You will work closely with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure that procurement processes are efficient and cost-effective. Your expertise in sourcing, negotiation, and relationship management will be crucial in supporting our business objectives and contributing to the company's success.


Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on their capabilities and cost competitiveness.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure favorable outcomes for the company.
  • Maintain and foster long-term relationships with key suppliers to ensure ongoing cooperation.
  • Analyze market trends to forecast inventory needs and adjust buying strategies accordingly.
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define product specifications and procurement plans.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with corporate objectives and budgets.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products and services to support operational efficiencies.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies.
  • Conduct regular cost analyses to uncover and implement cost reduction opportunities.
  • Stay updated with industry developments to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Adhere to ethical purchasing practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience in contract management and supplier engagement.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast industry and market trends.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
