Job Description

As a Buyer, you will be an integral part of our procurement team, responsible for identifying and acquiring goods and services that meet the quality and cost standards of our organization. Working closely with suppliers and vendors, you must exercise your negotiation skills to secure the best deals, ensuring that all purchases comply with company policies. Your keen sense of market trends and your analytical abilities will guide purchasing decisions, maintaining inventory levels effectively and preventing any supply disruptions. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the strategic objectives of the business while contributing to cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies based on analysis of market trends and company needs.
  • Negotiate contract terms with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements for the company.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Monitor inventory levels to determine when it is necessary to purchase additional products.
  • Evaluate supplier performance regarding quality, cost, and delivery to maintain supply chain efficiency.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and product availability.
  • Ensure that all procurement activities adhere to established regulatory frameworks and company policies.
  • Work closely with finance to ensure timely payment to vendors and resolve any financial discrepancies.
  • Prepare and analyze reports related to purchasing metrics and use them to improve processes.
  • Manage relationships with existing suppliers and seek opportunities for new partnerships.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining effective purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Support inventory management by reducing excess or obsolete stock through strategic ordering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a buyer or in a relevant procurement role within the industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management.
  • Excellent communication skills to maintain effective relationships with suppliers and teams.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Ability to analyze data and forecasts to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
