We are seeking a diligent and proactive Buyer to join our procurement team. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective strategies for purchasing activities and supplier management.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential new suppliers and assess compatibility.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements with suppliers to optimize cost savings.
  • Maintain strong, long-term supplier relationships to ensure product reliability and quality.
  • Analyze inventory levels regularly to develop purchasing plans that meet business needs.
  • Ensure timely processing of purchase orders to avoid disruptions in production schedules.
  • Evaluate supplier performance using standard metrics and audits to assure compliance and quality.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and align purchasing strategies with business objectives.
  • Resolve any issues with suppliers, including delivery delays or product discrepancies effectively.
  • Monitor market trends, shifts, and emerging suppliers to assess potential opportunities or risks.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on purchasing activities, cost analyses, and savings achieved for management.
  • Stay informed on developments in the procurement industry, including emerging trends and new technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role, preferably in a relevant industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a history of successful supplier agreements and cost reductions.
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret data and make informed procurement decisions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and multitasking ability.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
