Define project objectives and delivery methods and oversees project execution.

  • Manages portfolio of tools and applications:

    • Warehouse Management Systems

    • Order Management Systems

    • E-com integrations

  • Implements technical solutions to bring company strategy to life.

  • Ensures current technology is utilized to enable business processes; and to bring efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Ensure that defined SLAs to customers and business partners are met.

    Strategic Roles and Responsibilities

    • Ensure that strategic goals are translated into technical requirements.

    • Manage Outsourcing vendor teams (skillsets, capacity), define and manage support goals.

    • Ensures that the level of service is aligned with the Key Stakeholders Expectations

    • Manage Project portfolio and Lead Project planning and project goals delivery.



    Functional Roles and Responsibilities

    • Serves as a “trusted advisor,” and functions as a key point of IT contact for the Business, providing the necessary technical support for maintenance, optimization and reconfiguration of the applications and drive effective utilization of currently deployed applications.
    • Manages Project Portfolio for their domain and aligns with the key business stakeholders; ensures alignment between different business units.

    • Takes role in project prioritization, and influences key stakeholders to ensure right projects are prioritized and

       executed.

    • Defines the service levels with key business stakeholders.

    • Oversee the launch of solutions and help to maximize the positive impact on the organization.

    • Ability to partner with key staff members to create strategic initiatives.

    • Utilizing the available applications and technologies, ensure that customers have the solutions they need, when they need them, and in the media best suited to their requirements.

    • Collaborate with architecture and operations teams to ensure solution compatibility with company standards

    • Collaborate with the PMO on the intake process and prioritization of candidate projects across the company



    IT Strategy

    • Defines Fundamental changes to business processes, organization structure; or the way technology is used

    • New technology or solution introduced

    • Has knowledge of emerging trends and prepares for change

    • Helps define the strategy with input from key stakeholders

    • Drives coordination of strategic planning processes and ensures alignment with broader strategic objectives



     Outsourcing Partner management

    • Ensures optimal level of support is provided from Providers for the relevant applications in order to ensure that the requirements of the business are met.

    • Manage Outsourcing support team: evaluates current roles, skillset and provides guidance to the outsourcing partner to ensure the support teams have appropriate skillsets.

    • Provide the visibility of key business goals and targets (e.g. peak sales periods, store and warehouse openings); and manages support team readiness

    • Manages business SLAs.

    • Model Business requirements around agreed SLAs

    • Implements Service Management Frameworks as per the company standards.

    • Ensure process and policy compliance.



     Projects

    • Leads project planning, delivery objectives and defines implementation approach.

    • Ensures internal procedures and governance model is followed.

    • Manages multiple project with different stakeholders and ensures that the common goal between the projects is reached



    People Management

    • Manages a team of Systems Managers and oversees the third-party Provider’s design, development, integration, and deployment activities, operationally and in Projects.

    • Shares knowledge and develops staff capabilities to strengthen understanding of business needs and technology-based business solutions; evaluates implications to IT operations.

    • Operationalizes and communicates organizational objectives; inspires and motivates team members to achieve results.

    • Conducts performance evaluation of the team.

    • Fosters a team environment, recommends training programs targeting specific areas of improvement

    • A relevant University degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

    • Experience working with Logistics, Supply chain and e-com solutions within a retail organisation preferred

    • Strong experience in project delivery

    • Relevant industry experience, preferably in the Middle East
