This role is crucial to our growth and requires an ambitious journalist who can speak and write with equal fluency in both English and Arabic.

The successful candidate will break exclusive market-moving news and write features for both Arabian Business (English) and Arabian Business Arabic. You will be responsible for navigating the regional corporate landscape, building a network of high-level of international sources, and delivering content that converts casual readers into loyal digital subscribers.

Responsibilities

• Pitch, report, and write accurate breaking news, exclusive scoops, and business features daily in both English and Arabic.
• Adapt and translate complex business narratives fluidly between the English and Arabic editions, ensuring the specific cultural and market nuances resonate with each audience.
• Build and maintain a network of C-suite executives, government officials, financial experts, and regulators across the GCC, with a specific focus on local market players.
• Represent Arabian Business at events, providing real-time multi-lingual reporting.
• Dissect corporate filings, financial balance sheets, and regional economic data, transforming complex financial jargon into clear, high-impact copy in both languages.
• Work alongside the digital, social, and multimedia teams to provide linguistic support and editorial insight for bilingual video packages, podcasts, and newsletters.
  
  

• Native or professional fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic is non-negotiable.
• Proven reporting experience in a fast-paced business, finance, or economics publication.
• Strong understanding of GCC market dynamics.
• Exceptional copy-editing and translation skills, with the ability to write sharp, engaging headlines and concise hooks in both languages.
• A strong network of business contacts within the UAE and wider Middle East.
• Familiarity with digital publishing tools (WordPress), SEO best practices, and subscription-driven media models.
