Description

HELM is hiring a Business Intelligence Analyst who will analyze performance data to drive the marketing strategy while making recommendations and optimizations for some of the most recognized brands in the world. This individual will identify trends while preparing analytical and graphical reports for Executive Management’s review. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data and analytics who can collaborate with stakeholders across functional areas to build, review and optimize reporting solutions while aligning to corporate objectives.

This is a full time, hybrid role based in Plymouth, Michigan.

Business Intelligence Analyst Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing reports by generating and providing analysis
• Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques
• Develop and implement data analytics and other strategies that optimize efficiency and quality
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Filter and "clean" data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to locate and correct problems
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
• Use knowledge of the specific data available, forecasting/analysis methods and visualization capabilities to enhance requirements and provide insightful suggestions to business stakeholders
• Communicate analysis and findings clearly to senior leaders and non-technical audiences
• Make recommendations for new data visualizations to measure business & programs
• Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) with clear objectives and consistently monitor productivity
• Engage team on how to utilize data visualization metrics, knowledge, and how efforts can be leveraged for decision-making
• Perform other relevant tasks as required
  
  

Requirements

Education/Experience: BA/BS in Business or a related field, and 3-5 years previous experience in any one or more of these disciplines: BA, PM -OR- Recent successful internship in a relative field

Business Intelligence Analyst Required Competencies

Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Microsoft Office, Email and Web

Strong organizational and project management skills

An understanding of Advanced Analytics, and various Data Science techniques

Some knowledge in either Python, R , and/or other Advanced Analytical languages or tools.
