The Business Development Manager for Ventures plays a critical role in driving the commercial success of innovative ultrasound and AI programs within the Ventures organization. This role focuses on expanding access to care in low‑ and middle‑income countries (LMICs) through scalable, sustainable business models and strategic partnerships.
The individual will collaborate deeply across clinical, marketing, R&D, finance, and regional business teams while managing global and regional strategic deals that introduce novel commercial models to underserved markets.
Job Responsibilities
This role can be based in Dubai, Netherlands and Eastern Europe
Execute the commercial strategy for new ultrasound‑based AI products and solutions, as part of the Ventures organization.
Develop and implement innovative business models tailored to diverse emerging markets, ensuring financial sustainability and customer adoption.
Drive new revenue streams by identifying, qualifying, and executing global and regional business opportunities.
Serve as the primary commercial interface for the Gates Foundation program and other collaborations, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and shared objectives are achieved.
Build strong relationships with internal partners (R&D, Clinical, Marketing, Finance, Regional Teams) and external stakeholders (NGOs, Ministries of Health, global health partners).
Support and enable regional markets with commercialization frameworks, pricing approaches, and go‑to‑market tools.
Lead negotiation, structuring, and delivery of strategic global and regional deals, particularly those requiring new commercial or risk‑sharing models.
Ensure alignment to both global strategy and local market needs.
Deliver on key performance metrics, including revenue, margin, adoption rates, and partner engagement.
Track downstream program progress, manage risks, and provide regular updates to leadership and external funders.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and partner meetings to promote AI‑driven ultrasound innovations.
Serve as an ambassador for access‑to‑care initiatives and the broader Ventures mission.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales Management, Economics, or a related field (required).
Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Global Health, or related discipline (preferred).
10+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s OR 7+ years of experience with a Master’s in one or more of the following areas:
Business Development
Sales or Commercial Management
Global Health or Emerging Markets
Business Planning or Corporate Strategy
Experience working in medical devices, ultrasound, digital health, or AI‑driven solutions.
Demonstrated capability leading multimillion‑dollar partnerships, global health programs, or donor-funded initiatives.
Strong understanding of LMIC healthcare ecosystems, access‑to‑care models, and non-traditional commercial approaches.
Proven ability to operate in cross‑functional, matrixed global environments.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
