Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager based in the UAE to drive commercial growth across the Middle East market. The role will focus on business expansion, licensing dossier coordination, insurance engagement, and close collaboration with regulatory teams to ensure smooth product registration, reimbursement, and market access in multiple Middle Eastern countries.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across the Middle East healthcare and pharmaceutical market
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and key stakeholders across the region
  • Prepare and execute business development strategies aligned with company goals
  • Conduct market analysis, competitor tracking, and pricing assessments for Middle Eastern countries

Licensing & Dossier Coordination

  • Lead in-licensing dossier activities by utilizing prior experience and strong contacts with external companies, overseeing the preparation, submission, and follow-up of licensing and registration dossiers for pharmaceutical and healthcare products across Middle East markets.
  • Work closely with internal regulatory affairs teams to ensure timely and compliant dossier submissions
  • Liaise with regional health authorities (e.g., UAE MOHAP, DHA, DOH, Saudi FDA, other Gulf authorities) as required for approvals and renewals
  • Track dossier status and maintain accurate documentation records

Insurance & Market Access Coordination

  • Coordinate with insurance companies and TPAs in the region for product listing, reimbursement, and pricing approvals
  • Support negotiations related to insurance coverage and formulary inclusion
  • Ensure alignment between commercial, regulatory, and insurance requirements
  • Maintain ongoing liaison with primary insurance authorities to support compliance, policy alignment, and approval pathways for insured products.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration*
  • Act as a bridge between business development, regulatory, supply chain, and finance teams
  • Ensure regulatory timelines align with commercial launch plans
  • Support management with reports, forecasts, and performance updates

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5–8 years of experience in business development within the UAE or Middle East pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and licensing processes in the Middle East
  • Experience working with insurance companies and reimbursement processes in the region
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams
