Job Description

Business Development Managers play a critical role in the expansion and scaling of businesses. The primary aim of this position is to identify, create, and nurture profitable business opportunities, as well as build long-term relationships with new and existing clients. You will drive sales to enhance the company’s market position, ensure financial growth, and uphold the value of the organization. This role involves strategic planning, innovative thinking, and a knack for identifying potential business ventures. As a Business Development Manager, you will be expected to gather and apply intelligence on industry trends, resolve conflicts and negotiate positive outcomes, and work collaboratively across multiple departments. The successful candidate will need to be proactive, engaging, and persuasive, with the gravitas to negotiate deals with high-level executives and stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies to penetrate new markets and identify potential business opportunities.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the industry to identify changes and emerging trends.
  • Build and sustain strong, long-lasting client relationships through consistent communication.
  • Engage in project management duties, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
  • Forecast and track market and financial trends to make informed business decisions.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to tailor strategies to maximize profits and reach objectives.
  • Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to drive interest and sales.
  • Negotiate terms and contracts with prospective clients for mutual benefit.
  • Generate leads through networking and develop long-term strategic relationships.
  • Evaluate current business performance and identify ways to increase effectiveness.
  • Monitor competitors to understand and evaluate competitive positioning in the marketplace.
  • Prepare and deliver robust business proposals to obtain new business and meet sales goals.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development or sales roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully securing new business opportunities.
  • Strong analytical skills to strategize and assess business performance.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage relationships with clients and internal teams effectively.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office suite is essential.
