We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our Freight & Logistics team. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and fostering long-term relationships with clients in the logistics industry. You will leverage your deep understanding of the freight and logistics sector to create strategic plans and execute initiatives that enhance our market position. Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the freight and logistics sector.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships to drive revenue growth.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to develop and execute strategic account plans.
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to increase competitiveness and profitability.
  • Participate in industry events and conferences to network and promote our services.
  • Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations to key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits and meet quotas.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance metrics against business targets.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Provide expert advice on freight and logistics solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in business development for logistics or freight.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in logistics.
  • Strong understanding of the freight and logistics industry and its dynamics.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales productivity tools.
