Job description:
The Area Slaes Manager of Kistler Middle East Branch is responsible for achieving sales performance targets across the GCC countries, driving business development, and promoting Kistler’s measurement solutions. Furthermore, He/She is responsible for the effective governance of the local branch and ensuring the continuity of the Group’s operations in the region. He/she will be reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Region WEST.
Main Tasks:
Strategy & Growth
· Define and implement a comprehensive sales strategy in collaboration with HQ (CH) and regional management (IT).
· Develop and execute a two-year expansion plan, including new application fields/industries and explore the potential of local team expansion.
· Strengthen Kistler’s brand presence across the GCC countries and the broader.
· Identify new business opportunities and drive targeted prospecting initiatives.
· Participation in strategic planning and forecasting activities together with supervisor.
Business & Commercial Responsibility
· Responsibility for all operational business in the assigned countries, especially sales activities according to budget and yearly planning (including trade fairs, promotional campaigns, etc.)
· Ensure smooth daily operations, including service delivery and monthly billing.
· Achieve defined sales targets, KPIs, and margin objectives.
· Manage budgeting, forecasting, and business planning—conduct quarterly/ tertial reviews (every four months) with HQ and the regional CFO.
· Control costs, contribution margin (CM%), days sales outstanding (DSO), and overall profitability according to targets.
· Prepare the yearly plan, including budget for cost control.
· Review financials every tertial (i.e., every four months) with the Regional Head and CFO.
· Manage all sales activities to ensure correct book and bill each month.
· Involvement and participation in Kistlers supraregional activities when requested
Sales Management
· Own the entire sales process and manage the office, guiding local staff long-term.
· Evaluate territory performance, manage deviations, and ensure budget achievement.
· Establish a planning & implementation schedule for transparent sales activities.
· Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
· Promote new products and technologies to strengthen Kistler’s market presence.
Customer & Partner Relations
· Maintain and grow relationships with key accounts and strategic partners.
· Provide advice on the proper application of key company product.
· Negotiate high-value contracts and ensure customer satisfaction.
· Provide expert technical consultancy to deliver tailored measurement solutions.
· Actively engage with new major key customers und creation of a local network.
· Establishing valuable memberships in local industrial associations, seeks actively networking opportunities
· Engineer with technical, managerial, and marketing education.
· Self-reliant and deeply driven, with a clear ambition to independently establish a long-term local presence and elevate the region to a new level with building up local capabilities.
· Extensive experience and sensitivity to the local business culture in the Middle East, with a deep regional as well as international understanding and internalization of his/her values, practices, communication styles and networking competencies. Sales and team management experience in ME market related with defense & space, and automotive industries. Experience in traffic & infrastructure market is a big plus.
· B class driving license
· Language skills: English and Arabic (UAE) as mandatory (C1 or C2 level)
· Domicile in the vicinity of the branch (UAE) required.
