Job Summary
The
Business Analyst, MENA Region is responsible for providing data-driven insights and supporting the execution of business initiatives that drive iHerb’s growth across the Middle East and North Africa. This role directly supports the General Manager, MENA, working cross-functionally to analyze, model, and report on financial and operational performance, and to inform strategic and tactical actions related to performance optimization, product selection, pricing, and operational excellence.
This position combines analytical rigor with business partnership—translating insights into actionable recommendations and collaborating with teams such as Pricing, Merchandising, Marketing, and Operations to ensure successful execution. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing large datasets, creating reports and dashboards, performing detailed analyses, and facilitating cross-functional alignment to deliver measurable business results.
Job Expectations
- Data & Business Analysis
- Analyze key commercial and operational metrics across selection, pricing, promotions, and market performance.
- Develop reports and dashboards that track regional KPIs (sales, margin, customer acquisition, engagement, and retention).
- Partner with internal stakeholders to uncover insights that influence strategic and tactical decisions.
- Pricing & Selection Strategy
- Perform competitive and profitability analyses to support data-informed pricing and product mix decisions.
- Collaborate with Merchandising and Marketing teams to identify growth opportunities and optimize the MENA assortment.
- Monitor the performance of localized pricing and promotional activities.
- Execution & Implementation
- Translate analytical findings into executable plans; coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement changes in pricing, selection, or marketing.
- Track results of implemented initiatives and provide impact assessments and feedback loops.
- Support ad-hoc business needs, including project coordination and issue resolution.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a regional data and insights partner to teams in our Chief Revenue Office, Finance, and Supply Chain.
- Collaborate with global analytics and BI teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with corporate metrics.
- Prepare materials and presentations for leadership reviews, business updates, and strategy sessions.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Support regional financial forecast and planning processes in coordination with Finance.
- Perform variance analyses of financial trends, forecasts, and actual results.
- Monitor monthly revenue and expenses versus budget and communicate key variances to leadership.
- Assist in improving and automating financial reporting processes (e.g., Adaptive) to enhance accuracy and timeliness.
Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Tools: Advanced proficiency in SQL is mandatory. Desirable experience includes working with Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker, and familiarity with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) software is a plus, specifically Adaptive Planning and SAP.
- Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to build and maintain complex financial and operational models.
- Experience in financial analysis, pricing, merchandising, or performance analytics.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into actionable business and financial insights.
- Experience conducting scenario and sensitivity analyses to support decision-making and evaluate business trade-offs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex analytical outcomes clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; able to connect analytical outputs to real-world business and financial drivers.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrates ownership, adaptability, and initiative in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Preferred
- Experience in e-commerce, FMCG, or retail analytics.
- Experience collaborating with diverse teams across geographies and time zones.
Experience Requirements
- 5 years of experience in analytics, finance, business operations, or strategy execution.
- Prior MENA regional or international experience preferred.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in finance, economics, or data analytics or a combination of education and equivalent work experience. MBA a plus.
Judgment/Reasoning Ability: Able to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy. Ability to use judgment and reasoning skills, and determine when to escalate issues, as required, in a timely manner.
