About the role:

Ready to be part of a high-impact, business-wide transformation in one of Australias fastest-evolving energy markets? We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst - Data & Reporting to join our Corporate Development team on a 12 month fixed term basis to support the implementation of the Core Retail Platform transformation project.

We are looking for a data specialist who understands how information flows across an organisation to set up future capabilities. You will have not only technical ability but extremely strong interpersonal skills and business process understanding. You are a proactive self-starter, comfortable with pressure coming from all angles at all times and you are able to maintain your cool. While the stakeholders are telling you what is important, you can read between the lines, consider the commercial objectives and make decisions that are good for the business in general - all while providing an outstanding stakeholder experience.

Beyond traditional process mapping, you are a data specialist focused on setting up future capability. You bring a deep understanding of how data works and how it flows through an organisation, allowing you to support complex projects that hinge on data integrity and architecture. Your expertise goes beyond the surface; you possess a strong grasp of data models and have a proven track record of delivering on projects specifically focused on data and reporting. This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where priorities can change on a daily basis. Your ability to navigate technical data structures while adapting to shifting business needs is what will keep you engaged and on your toes.

This role is based in the iconic Bryant & May Building in Cremorne, with flexible working arrangements of 3 days in the office, 2 days remote.

Our preferred candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a preference for experience in the retail energy sector.
• Proven ability to deliver major business solutions, including application testing and implementation.
• Highly developed stakeholder management skills and proven resilience.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement in process design.
• Experience in delivering business solutions using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for independent data collection and analysis.
• Familiarity with collaborative tools, including Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Atlassian products (Confluence, JIRA).
