Aon DIFC is recruiting a Broker in our Specialty department, based from our offices in the DIFC, United Arab Emirates. The role of a Broker is to act as an intermediary between clients and providers (e.g., insurers, lenders, buyers/sellers, carriers), understanding client needs, sourcing suitable solutions from the market, negotiating terms, and managing ongoing relationships. The role combines client advisory, market negotiation, and transaction management to deliver optimal outcomes for clients while meeting business and revenue targets.

What The Day Will Look Like
Placement Support
- Support senior brokers in structuring and placing Crisis management risks with a focus on political violence insurance programs for corporate and multinational clients.
- Help design tailored insurance solutions covering risks such as political violence, terrorism, kidnap & ransom, contingency, and political risks.
Client & Market Documentation
- Assist in the preparation of high-quality client submissions, underwriting presentations, and market documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of placements, policy documentation, endorsements, and client communications.
Research & Analysis
- Conduct research and analysis on country risk, geopolitical developments, and security trends impacting client portfolios.
- Summarize key findings to support broking strategy, insurer selection, and client recommendations.
Market Engagement & Negotiation
- Engage with insurers and underwriters to obtain quotes, negotiate terms, and track placement progress.
- Support the comparison and evaluation of insurer proposals to help identify optimal structures and pricing.
Policy & Lifecycle Management
- Supervise policy renewals, endorsements, and compliance requirements to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Track key dates and deliverables to help ensure continuity of coverage.
Collaboration & Integrated Solutions
- Collaborate with internal partners (including claims, analytics, and risk consulting teams) to deliver integrated, beneficial solutions to clients.
- Support preparation of client-facing materials, including presentations, renewal reports, and stewardship documents.
Claims Support
- Support the claims process by coordinating information flow between clients, insurers, and internal claims specialists.
- Assist with basic claims tracking, documentation, and status reporting.
Market & Product Awareness
- Stay informed on market conditions, capacity changes, and emerging risks within the political risk and specialty insurance markets.
- Share relevant insights with senior brokers and the wider team to inform placement strategy and product development.

Qualifications.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- CII certification preferred
Knowledge.
- Analytical mindset with good numerical and financial literacy
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM systems

Experience.
- Previous experience in a brokerage, underwriting, or client-facing advisory role preferred
