BIM MODELER

Job Description

The BIM Modeller is responsible for creating, developing, and managing Building Information Models (BIM) for construction projects within the contracting company. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary project teams to produce accurate and detailed digital representations of buildings and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Develop 3D BIM models using software such as Revit, ArchiCAD, or Tekla Structures based on architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.

Ensure model accuracy by incorporating all relevant building components, systems, and materials in line with design intent.

Collaborate with design and engineering teams to integrate architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing information into the BIM model.

Perform clash detection to identify and resolve conflicts between various building systems and components.

Coordinate with project stakeholders to address clash resolutions and implement required design modifications.

Prepare clash detection reports and facilitate coordination meetings to review and resolve identified issues.

Maintain BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, updating them to reflect design changes, RFIs, and site modifications.

Ensure compliance with BIM standards, including company protocols, file naming conventions, layer management, and model organization.

Generate 2D drawings, schedules, and reports from BIM models for construction documentation and coordination purposes

Skills

 Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, ArchiCAD, Tekla Structures, or similar platforms.

 Strong understanding of building construction methods, materials, and systems.

 Knowledge of BIM standards and protocols such as COBie, IFC, and LOD

 Ability to create and manipulate complex 3D models with attention to detail and accuracy.

 Familiarity with clash detection and coordination tools such as Navisworks or Solibri.

 Proficiency in generating 2D drawings, schedules, and reports from BIM models.
