We are looking for a talented, dynamic and experienced BIM Manager with at least 10 years’ relevant experience post-qualification to assist in managing the implementation of our world-leading BIM process from our dynamic landscape architecture studio in the heart of Dubai’s creative quarter d3.
Under the supervision of the Associate – BIM Manager, the role will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the BIM process, managing the BIM workflow, BIM production team, ensuring quality control of models, providing guidelines for the design teams on agreed project requirements and communicating data transfer needs and processes with other disciplines and external consultants and client teams.
Primary Activities:
With the help and supervision of the Associate – BIM Manager, facilitate and coordinate projects BIM Logistics (contracts, emails, CDE, data-exchange activities, etc.)
Drive the production, coordination and delivery of projects in relation to all applicable BIM requirements under the direction and guidance of the Associate – BIM Manager and in close collaboration with relevant design, technical & engineering teams.
Review, estimate, and give input into delivery schedules and levels of effort required to produce deliverables as well as associated budgets, including assessment of potential need to secure out-of-house services.
Liaise and coordinate with Project Leaders, CAD Team Leaders, BIM staff, Digital Solutions team, in-house designers and external consultants involved in the projects to ensure fully coordinated and detailed BIM packages are produced.
Review and verify BIM deliverables (e.g. BIM models, drawings, cost estimates, schedules, etc.) before their submission ensuring all required BIM QA/QC checks and procedures are properly undertaken.
Oversee BIM production ensuring all applicable company design parameters are followed and maintained, and models, technical drawings and project documentation are delivered on time, within budget and meeting required quality standards.
Participate in multi-disciplinary and client meetings, providing constructive feedback and advise on the status of the model, design review, constructability analysis, 3D coordination and production.
Coach, mentor and support junior staff throughout the BIM process, modelling efforts and documentation tasks, while adhering to applicable BIM and quality standards, best practices and QA/QC procedures.
Take part in BIM coordination meeting with the wider project teams to ensure the model quality and standards are met as stated in project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and in line with BIM standards, workflow criteria and quality standards.
Take part in the review of Cracknell BIM standards and amend to meet industry best practices.
Technical Competencies:
Configure project BIM datasets/workflows including but not limited to Revit, Civil3D, AutoCAD, Rhino and Navisworks platforms.
Effectively understand and adhere to Cracknell BIM standards and procedures ensuring any changes in procedure and standards are effectively communicated to project teams.
Perform BIM coordination and daily management of BIM project datasets/workflows, model management administration and maintenance ensuring a health BIM database.
Have ability to capture and record Lessons Learned, communicate findings during team meetings and department meetings to ensure consistency and allow for training programs to be developed/improved.
Ability to conduct clash detection and conflict resolution, coaching each discipline on leveraging clash detection tools for their own discipline to proactively build and design in a smart manner.
Ability to assist in the preparation and maintenance of BIM documentation for all projects including but not limited to BEP, TIDP, MIDP, LOD Matrices etc. following Cracknell’s BIM documents templates.
Excellent understanding of the various stages of a landscape design project and production deliverables associated with each stage.

Software Capabilities
Expert (strongly proficient and competent) in Revit 3D modelling (Architecture & MEP) and Autodesk Forma.
Proficient in Dynamo and additional BIM Platforms (Sketchup, Infraworks, Rhino, Maya, 3D Max and other 3D modeling platforms); AutoCAD 2D & 3D; BIM Coordination software and clash detection tools such as Navisworks Manage or Autodesk Forma Model Coordination.
Knowledge of platforms such as Aconex, Unifier, ProjectWise, Forma etc.
Basic knowledge of GIS systems, laser scanning, MicroStation and Bentley AECOsim is beneficial.
Have documented experience with industry standards and codes including BIM standards (ISO 19650) for the creation, maintenance, and review of the BIM process.
Position Requirements:
Diploma in Architecture / Landscape Architecture / Civil Engineering or equivalent and/or Diploma in Design Technology.
A Member of Landscape Architecture/Architectural/Engineering is advantageous
Minimum of 10 years of relevant BIM environment work experience with at least 3 years’ experience as a BIM Manager.
Autodesk Certification would be advantageous
Experience working in a multi-disciplinary production environment.
