Role Overview

As a BIM Engineer - Dry Utilities at Parsons, you will play a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of utility infrastructure projects through the application of Building Information Modeling (BIM). You will work closely with dry utility engineers, BIM coordinators, planners, and other stakeholders to develop, manage, and coordinate 3D models for power, street lighting, telecommunications, and other dry utility networks.

This role involves supporting a variety of infrastructure and urban development projects while leveraging digital delivery methodologies, digital twins, automation, and AI-enabled solutions to improve project efficiency, quality, coordination, and design outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop and manage 3D BIM models for dry utility infrastructure projects, including power distribution, street lighting, telecommunications, and associated utility networks.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to integrate dry utilities with roads, structures, landscape, drainage, and other infrastructure elements into coordinated BIM models.
• Perform clash detection, model reviews, and design coordination using BIM platforms and collaboration tools.
• Generate detailed drawings, utility layouts, schedules, and project documentation directly from BIM models.
• Maintain model quality, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements, client standards, and company procedures.
• Utilize digital engineering tools, digital twin methodologies, and automation techniques to enhance project delivery and coordination.
• Assist in the management and organization of BIM data, templates, families, and model libraries.
• Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, and multidisciplinary workshops.
• Support engineering teams with utility design visualization, constructability reviews, and project presentations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of BIM workflows, standards, and best practices across projects.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, including AI, automation, and digital engineering applications within the infrastructure sector.
  

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• UAE National (Emirati).
• Previous experience in BIM modeling, infrastructure design, or utility projects is preferred but not mandatory.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other BIM-related software preferable.
• Basic understanding of dry utility systems, including power distribution, street lighting, and telecommunications networks preferable.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows, model coordination, and clash detection processes preferable.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills preferable.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Familiarity with UAE utility authority requirements and standards, including DEWA, RTA, Etisalat, du, and related stakeholders.
• Experience with Dynamo scripting, automation tools, and computational design workflows.
• Knowledge of Common Data Environments (CDE) and collaborative digital delivery platforms.
• Understanding of Digital Twin technologies and AI applications in engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of BIM standards and information management processes, including ISO 19650.
• Passion for innovation, digital transformation, and continuous learning.
