Job Description

A BIM Architect plays a critical role in the design and construction industries by leveraging Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology to create detailed architectural designs and simulations. As a BIM Architect, you will be responsible for coordinating with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to enhance the design process, improve collaboration, and refine construction documentation. The position requires a strong understanding of architectural design principles and hands-on experience with BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks. Attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential, as you will be responsible for ensuring that building designs are executed accurately, efficiently, and meet project specifications and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage BIM models for architectural designs in coordination with project teams.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure design accuracy and consistency.
  • Coordinate BIM implementation and integration with project stakeholders to enhance design processes.
  • Monitor BIM execution plans and ensure adherence to set guidelines and standards.
  • Facilitate multidisciplinary BIM model coordination including clash detection and resolution.
  • Conduct quality control assessments on BIM outputs to ensure design specifications are met.
  • Provide training and support to team members on BIM technologies and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international BIM standards and protocols.
  • Analyze and optimize BIM data for efficiency and enhanced project delivery.
  • Prepare and present project proposals, progress updates, and model walkthroughs to clients and stakeholders.
  • Research and integrate new BIM technologies and methodologies into the design process.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive BIM documentation for future reference and updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field from accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in BIM modeling and architectural design projects.
  • Proficient in BIM software tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
  • Strong understanding of architectural design principles and construction documentation processes.
  • Excellent coordination and project management abilities in multidisciplinary environments.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in model creation and evaluation.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with diverse project stakeholders.
  • Experience with clash detection and resolving design conflicts within BIM models.
  • Knowledge of national and international building codes and BIM standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
