How You’ll Make An Impact

  • In your new role as a Bid Project Manager in Gas Service, you are responsible for the overall Bid Process for Open Market Offerings and potentially Long-Term Service Program bids within the Sales organization for the Region Middle East
  • Develop a complete understanding of the organization structure and key buying influences of assigned account and work out the complete technical proposal and coordinate the input from the project team during the bidding process and incorporate the commercial and legal part of the proposal in the overall bid structure.
  • Support the Sales colleagues in the internal Limits of Authority process (LoA process) and set up the bid structure in internal ERP system
  • Align with Business Administration Colleagues regarding tax concepts and Business models. Prepare sales proposals for products and service opportunities. You analyze and evaluate the customer requirements and/or RFQ documents and work out best-fitting bidding strategies together with the Sales colleagues and all other required parties.
  • Support the Sales colleagues in finding the best bid strategy. Furthermore, coordination of all service-related topics with the relevant interfaces is required. Maintain customer and distributor contact, providing comprehensive technical product application assistance.
  • Take an active part in the contract negotiations together with the Sales colleagues and hand over the projects to the project execution team. Perform cost and risk assessments and finalize the bid documents


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a Master’s degree in Engineering with at least 5 years’ experience in the Power Generation Sector and are experienced with Gas-Steam Turbines, Generators and aftermarket services and general experience in Project implementation and Outage management is a plus
  • Good experience with processes involved in technical, commercial and legal clarification of an offer and experience of collaboration with Siemens Regional Companies and / or external Partners preferred.
  • You can understand customer requirements and can communicate these effectively within Siemens Energy organization
  • You can work in an international environment; you have excellent communication skills and speak English, Arabic language is preferred.
  • You are open to working with people from different cultural backgrounds and have demonstrated ability to work as a team player
  • You would like to develop into a Sales Manager role over time and resilient and respond with a positive attitude when under pressure

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
