Main Purpose

The basic operator must work as part of the team on actual packaging operation, cleaning, hygiene, housekeeping, and safety in work. The candidate must ensure that the machine/section is performing within the procedures, and time constraints outlined by the company so as to obtain acceptable quality, minimal waste and maximized efficiency. The basic operator should have capability to work in more than one area in factory in order to provide flexibility while being supported by the core skills to work within an autonomous team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and adhere to all safety and environmental procedures related to the Sourcing Unit and assigned equipment, ensuring a secure work environment for the team.
  • Recognize personal legal responsibilities and act accordingly.
  • Understanding of quality defects.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of manufactured products at various stages of the production process, including raw materials, components, and finished goods, to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Maintain 5S in Quality lab.
  • Report Quality GMP incidents and meet the monthly target.
  • Report Safety Near Miss incident, Unsafe condition and Unsafe act and meet monthly target.
  • Conduct GMP audits.
  • Support to implement the GMP related initiatives.
  • Support on back-tracking activities
  • Excellent understanding and application of escalation procedure.
  • Monitor, maintain and keep record of the PRPs, OPRPs and CCPs of the food safety management systems and escalate in case of any deviation.
  • Perform any additional duties as required by the situation. 

 

Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing company known for its strict safety and quality standards, preferably in the Food and Beverage industry.
  • Worked effectively as part of a Quality or Manufacturing team.
  • Strong team player with good communication skills. 

 

Skills & other requirements

  • Quick adaptability to changing situations and conditions on the production line.
  • Self-motivated with a drive for personal and team growth.
  • Ability to comprehend company requirements and translate them into effective work output.
  • Initiative-driven and punctual.
  • Basic knowledge of computer operations.
  • Proficient in reading and general comprehension.
  • Capable of both spoken and written English communication.
  • Quality principles and Basic Food Safety.
  • Packaging material knowledge.
  • Documentation and data logging.
  • MS Office (Excel, Word)
