Barista

As a Barista, you will be at the forefront of providing excellent customer service in a dynamic and busy coffee shop environment. Your role is not just about making great coffee but also about creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers. You will need to be knowledgeable about the various blends and flavors of coffee and other beverages, ensuring customers receive high-quality drinks meeting their preferences. Attention to detail and a genuine enthusiasm for customer service are essential in this role. Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages consistently to customer satisfaction.
• Engage with customers by taking their orders and answering any queries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee making station and seating area.
• Assist in stocking and inventory management of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of espresso machines and brewing techniques.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food and beverage handling.
• Upsell products by recommending beverages to customers based on their preferences.
• Coordinate with team members to facilitate efficient and smooth service operation.
• Prepare and serve food items like pastries or snacks when needed by customers.
• Manage customer complaints in a calm and professional manner to ensure satisfaction.
• Contribute to marketing initiatives promoting new drinks and coffee shop events.
• Maintain a positive and approachable demeanor, enhancing the customer experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role within a café or coffee shop environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong passion for customer service.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.
• Basic knowledge of coffee types, brewing techniques, and equipment usage.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in ensuring quality service.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, is highly desirable.
• Capability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
