Barista (Coffee - Hot/Cold)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold coffee beverages with precision.
• Maintain equipment by cleaning and troubleshooting espresso machines and grinders.
• Greet and interact with customers, providing excellent customer service at all times.
• Assist in keeping the café environment clean and inviting for customers.
• Take orders and manage point-of-sale transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Educate customers about our coffee offerings, flavors, and origins of each type.
• Foster a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with coworkers.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Handle customer complaints and inquiries with professionalism and tact.
• Participate in opening and closing duties to ensure store readiness.
• Manage inventory and stock levels through regular checks and updates.
• Contribute ideas for promotions, events, and ways to improve customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on providing an exceptional experience.
• Ability to operate espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with diverse customers.
• Knowledge of coffee origins, flavors, and brewing methods is highly desirable.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle fast-paced work environments.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
