Job Description

As a barista at our bustling coffee establishment, your primary role will be to create a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while expertly crafting a variety of coffee beverages. You will serve as the face of our brand, interacting with patrons to ensure their experience is both pleasurable and memorable. The ideal candidate is someone with a passion for coffee and customer service, who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can work seamlessly with a dedicated team. Your attention to detail will ensure that every cup of coffee meets our high standards of quality and presentation, contributing greatly to customer satisfaction and loyalty.


Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and tune into their coffee preferences to make recommendations.
  • Prepare and serve coffee and tea beverages that meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the coffee preparation area and ensure hygiene standards are met.
  • Keep a clean and well-stocked workspace, including cleaning coffee machines and equipment.
  • Accurately process transactions using a point-of-sale system, handling cash and card payments.
  • Engage with customers, providing efficient and friendly service to enhance their experience.
  • Contribute to the team's efforts by achieving daily operational goals seamlessly.
  • Educate customers on our drink menu and handle inquiries related to menu items.
  • Assist in inventory management, including restocking supplies and placing orders when necessary.
  • Take part in staff meetings and abide by all company policies and procedures consistently.
  • Develop extensive knowledge of coffee products and brewing techniques to deliver superior service.
  • Address customer complaints with patience and professionalism to ensure satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required with customer service experience preferred.
  • Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude are essential.
  • Availability to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects when necessary.
