Job Description

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute events in line with approved plans, DWTC service standards, budgets, and timelines, ensuring high productivity, quality service, and guest satisfaction.
  • Manage, coach, train, and develop the team through effective scheduling, performance management, appraisals, and continuous skills development, leading by example at all times.
  • Drive a culture of excellent customer service and innovation by proactively implementing creative ideas aligned with market trends and business needs.
  • Ensure strong product knowledge, SOP compliance, hygiene, food safety, grooming standards, and adherence to DWTC policies, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Exercise empowered decision-making, proactive problem-solving, and appropriate escalation to ensure smooth event delivery and effective issue resolution.
  • Manage event financials including revenue, expenses, P&L accuracy, financial transactions, and reporting to maximize profitability.
  • Handle guest feedback, incidents, and accidents promptly, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence and ensure service recovery.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, VSM–Hospitality Operations, and external suppliers/vendors to ensure seamless execution of events and protect DWTC assets and brand image.

Operating Environment

  • MS Office applications knowledge and software’s
  • Micros Knowledge and Cashiering
  • To work as per the business/operations demands within DWTC or across the emirates
  • Possibility of working in smoking and drinking environment
  • Implement duties assigned as may be assigned by the Assistant F&B Manager / F & B Manager

Formal Education

  • High school Diploma or Degree or Hotel School Management Qualification or A minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar role or 3 years’ experience as Service Manager level in well-established Hospitality Industry
  • Intermediate Hygiene Certificate/HACCP Awareness
  • Special Qualification: Fluent in English, Arabic Speaking is a plus

Work Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar role or 3 years’ experience as Service Manager level in well-established Hospitality Industry
  • Relevant experience in banquet operations / Outside Catering / Restaurant in well-established catering companies
  • Knowledge/Familiarity in Micros (Preferable)
  • Experience in Management and Leadership roles
  • Financial Reporting (Preferable)

Skills And Knowledge

  • Financial understanding of profit and loss statements
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Time management including multi-tasking and productivity
  • Excellent interpersonal and highly effective communication skills
  • Excellent team building skills and demonstrate teamwork and the ability to enhance team members performance
  • Proven ability to create, develop and implement innovative ideas in line with market trends
  • Understanding Hotel/ Outlet Food and Beverage Operations
  • Effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • Managing Operations
