As a Bank Teller, you play a critical role in serving the financial needs of our customers and ensuring an exceptional banking experience. You will be the frontline representative, responsible for processing routine transactions, assisting clients with their inquiries, and promoting the Bank’s products and services. Responsibilities

  • Process deposits, withdrawals, and payments swiftly and accurately while adhering to bank policies.
  • Maintain an accurate cash drawer at all times to avoid discrepancies and errors.
  • Assist customers with account inquiries and resolve any issues or discrepancies efficiently.
  • Cross-sell bank products and services by recognizing client needs and recommending solutions.
  • Follow all security procedures and protocols to ensure the safety of the branch.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service and provide feedback to management for branch improvements.
  • Train and mentor junior tellers to promote a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all bank regulations, policies, and procedures during every transaction.
  • Participate in training programs to stay updated with product knowledge and banking procedures.
  • Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor with all customers to build a positive rapport.
  • Balance currency, coin, and checks at the end of each shift with accuracy.
  • Handle cash and coins with precision to prevent loss and ensure all transactions are accounted for.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred for more complex transactions.
  • Proven experience as a bank teller or in a cash handling environment is advantageous.
  • Strong numerical skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in transactions.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build professional relationships.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with banking software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex information in a simple, understandable manner.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
