Job Purpose

The Business to Business (B2B) Channel Distribution Adoption Manager executes and integrates the New Distribution Capability (NDC) adoption strategy in their aligned region. Working with Headquarters based and local teams, the role is accountable for managing NDC at a regional, country, and city level. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in NDC adoption, the role will provide technical and commercial guidance, to enhance capability, understanding and proficiency of sales teams, ensuring regional/POS level strategies achieve key performance indicators (KPI)s, increase NDC bookings, and grow and fully use Emirates Gateway (EGW).

In This Role, You Will

  • Work with Commercial Operations to develop regional/point of sale level sales strategies, and action plans to achieve KPIs, maximise NDC revenue generation, respond to market needs and grow EGW.
  • Support the Commercial teams on NDC channel adoption efficiencies, engaging with markets to understand adoption gaps and challenges, and negotiate incentive schemes to increase NDC bookings.
  • Build strong relationships between Commercial, Revenue Optimisation, Distribution, and local aggregators, to ensure clarity, suitability, and alignment for adoption.
  • Work with Commercial and internal stakeholders to clarify the relationship, structure, Terms of Reference, and process from new requests to go live, monitoring and support: the NDC adoption lifecycle.
  • Enhance capability of sales teams and travel agents, maximising revenue opportunities through full use of EGW, working with Learning & Training to ensure exceptional service in training and proficiency.
  • Act a SME, providing technical and commercial guidance, change management support, and on the job training and coaching.
  • Be a EGW ambassador to the Commercial Sales teams, promoting the NDC channel, articulating it benefits and opportunities to maximise revenue generation.

Qualification

To be considered for this role you must meet the below requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree or Honours with 8+ years of experience in Commercial disciplines with emphasis on Business & Sales.
  • Experience in Commercial, with experience of NDC adoption, commercial distribution, GDS, aggregator, business development. Experience in a comprehensive understanding of all functions within Passenger Sales.

Knowledge/skills

  • In depth knowledge of the airline industry, global distribution channels and commercial airline strategy, ideally including revenue optimisation and sales.
  • Executive stakeholder management expertise and strong organisational awareness.
  • Able to build relationships and at all levels, in Consultancy, Travel, Transportation, Airline sectors.
  • Experience in process improvement, project management, organising resources for quick turnaround.
