Job Description

As an Automotive Workshop Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of our automotive service facility. You will be responsible for managing a team of skilled technicians and ensuring that all customer vehicles are serviced and repaired efficiently and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Your role will combine effective team leadership, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of automotive technologies and service processes. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and possess excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, enabling them to manage everything from scheduling and workflow to client communications and staff development. Your contribution will directly impact the satisfaction of our customers and the success of our business.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the daily workflow of the automotive workshop team.
  • Ensure all vehicle repair and maintenance tasks are completed timely and efficiently.
  • Maintain high standards of service quality and customer satisfaction in all repairs.
  • Supervise and manage a team of technicians and support staff effectively.
  • Monitor workshop inventory and order parts and supplies as needed.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety regulations within the workshop environment.
  • Engage with customers to understand their service needs and provide expert advice.
  • Review and manage repair orders to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Deliver training and development sessions to enhance team performance and skills.
  • Maintain and update workshop equipment and tools to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Perform inspections and quality checks of completed work to meet standards.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on workshop performance and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an automotive service or workshop management role.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, components, and repair techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities with prior experience.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Profound problem-solving skills and an instinct for troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems and software tools.
