Responsibilities

• Diagnose automotive electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Repair and replace faulty wiring or components in both vehicles and machinery.
• Install new automotive electrical systems in a variety of vehicle models.
• Troubleshoot and fix electronic components and complex electrical circuitry in vehicles.
• Maintain records of all automotive electrical repairs and procedures performed.
• Collaborate with fellow technicians to ensure comprehensive vehicle service and upkeep.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive electrical systems and technologies.
• Provide expert guidance and training to junior technicians and apprentices.
• Assess and evaluate the electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Consult vehicle manuals and schematics to accurately execute repair tasks.
• Address customer inquiries about vehicle electrical issues and suggest suitable solutions.
• Ensure all workshop tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an automotive electrician or in a related role.
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Proficiency in using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment for automotive repair.
• Basic understanding of electronic ignition systems, fuel injection systems, and other electronics.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics accurately.
