AutoCAD Draftsman (225-1012)

An AutoCAD Draftsman is a skilled professional responsible for creating technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software. This role is crucial in various industries such as engineering, architecture, and construction, where precise technical documentation is essential for project success. Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design and technical drawings using AutoCAD software for various projects.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements.
• Conduct site visits to gather necessary data and incorporate it into the design process.
• Revise and update existing drawings based on feedback from team members and stakeholders.
• Ensure that all designs adhere to the relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Create and maintain a well-organized repository of project drawings and documents for easy access.
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including schedules and material specifications.
• Ensure high levels of accuracy in all technical drawings and designs to prevent costly errors.
• Provide technical support and expertise during project design and implementation phases.
• Use CAD plotters, printers, and scanners to produce hard copies of all completed designs.
• Regularly attend project meetings to provide updates on drawing completion and revisions.
• Maintain current knowledge of AutoCAD software updates and new technologies related to drafting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman in a relevant industry is required.
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD software and other drafting tools and applications.
• Strong understanding of engineering and architectural principles and methods.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality work consistently.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with 3D modelling software and techniques is highly advantageous.
