We are seeking a highly skilled Auto Mechanic to join our team and maintain our fleet of vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on a variety of automobiles and light trucks. As an Auto Mechanic, you will work closely with other team members to ensure all vehicles are in excellent working condition for safe and efficient operation. You must possess extensive knowledge and experience with automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and HVAC systems. Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles to identify issues using diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Repair and replace damaged or worn parts such as brake pads and bearings.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and tire rotations.
• Work with electronic components and software to diagnose and solve electrical problems.
• Maintain accurate records of each repair and maintenance service performed.
• Communicate effectively with clients to discuss repair needs and options.
• Test drive vehicles to ensure proper operation and functionality of repairs.
• Stay up to date with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
• Advise clients on future maintenance and repair needs based on inspections.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with industry safety standards.
• Order and maintain inventory of parts and materials needed for repairs.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior mechanics and apprentices as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
• Certification from a recognized technical school is highly desirable.
• Proven experience as an auto mechanic or similar role for a minimum of two years.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic automotive systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are a must.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is necessary.
• Ability to operate a variety of diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
