Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate repair procedures for vehicles.
• Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify worn or damaged parts.
• Test drive vehicles to evaluate customers’ concerns and verify problem areas.
• Repair and replace worn or defective parts, such as brake pads and bearings.
• Maintain accurate vehicle records by documenting services and repairs performed.
• Communicate effectively with customers about their vehicle’s condition and necessary repairs.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and in good working condition.
• Stay up-to-date with automotive technology and repair trends for efficiency.
• Observe all safety regulations and maintain shop organization for a safe work environment.
• Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of vehicle repairs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional auto mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, and braking.
• ASE certification is desired but not required for the position.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and computer-based automotive systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is essential.
• Ability to lift and handle heavy automotive parts and equipment safely.
