• Competitive Base Salary: Up to $225K (DOE)

• Advise clients on a broad range of legal issues related to charter schools
• Review charter petitions
• Counsel clients on charter oversight and compliance matters
• Handle renewal and revocation issues
• Advise governing boards on legal and operational matters
• Work directly with senior leadership on charter-related legal issues
• Conduct legal research, draft written analyses, and provide strategic guidance on charter school matters
  

• J.D. and licensed to practice in California
• Minimum 3 years of experience, with a focus on charter school law
• Experience or strong background in petition review, charter oversight and compliance, renewal, revocation, and advising governing boards
• Strong background in California education law and counseling public education clients
• Proven ability or experience with board advising, compliance analysis, and charter-related operational issues
