Job Purpose

This is an expression of interest to fill a key ATCO SME role within our international business, providing operational knowledge and practical ATC experience to support the development and delivery of bids, solutions and international contracts.

The role also requires ATC training expertise, including the design and development of training materials and the delivery of operational and technical training to strengthen customer and partner capability.

Accountabilities

• Provide expert guidance and operational insight to optimise ATC service delivery across the international portfolio.
• Support the design, development and delivery of ATC and ATM training packages, including operational, procedural and technical training modules.
• Contribute to customer capability uplift programmes through hands-on training delivery, mentoring and structured knowledge-transfer.
• Support and deliver airspace design, capacity enhancement, or tower transition projects.
• Support and deliver the development and delivery of compelling solutions across the international business.
• Work with the project delivery teams to develop, plan, and support the delivery of international contracts.
• Act as ATC Operations SME and share knowledge across international team,
• Utilise subject matter expertise to influence decision making through knowledge, experience, engagement and relationships.
• Review quality then identify and suggest opportunities for improvement.
• Work to deadlines and within allocated budgets.
• Provide intelligence and input to the product and services lifecycle, including product development, product enhancement and review of products no longer applicable to the market.
• Act as a NATS ambassador, supporting stakeholder engagement to create and sustain alliances across teams, regions & customers that support strategic business objectives.
  
  

Essential Skills And Experience

• ATCO SME with an excellent knowledge of the Air Traffic Control and ATM domains.
• Operational experience, working at a busy major international airport.
• Experience in developing and delivering ATC training activities.
• Knowledge of NATS commercial processes, products and services and how they compare and relate to the global ATM market would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of the customer and strategic market drivers which enable the development of future solutions and products.
• Culturally aware and sensitive to different business practices, communication styles and customer expectations.
• Apply product and service knowledge to develop solutions that meet customers’ needs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Deliver engaging and professional presentations, reports, workshops and solutions.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
  
  

This position includes international travel and the candidate will be required to work flexibly across different time zones and working weeks.
