Your Opportunity
As an Assistant Technician Airfield Civil Works Painter, your purpose of the role is to carryout preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance within a facilities management airfield civil works section, individually or as part of a technical team, whilst ensuring minimal disruption to the business operations.
The role will be based in Dubai Airports.
Key Accountabilities
Ability to conform to all general and technical safety requirements at all times to ensure the health, safety & welfare of self and others at work.
Any other work as assigned by the supervisor / duty engineer to achieve the purpose.
Can read interpret and describe the functionality of civil works drawings (schematic & layout drawing)
Knowledge in the use & interpretation of Local and International Standards and Regulations.
Direct Assets Exposure but not limited to: Runways, Taxiways, Asphalt/paved/concrete Roads, Indoor and outdoor walls, Various types of wall units Gypsum walls, etc
Tasks’ Experience (Hands-on) Tasks such as, but not limited to: Conduct Inspections to determine the need for painting, Preparing painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint Mixing, matching, and applying paints and other finishes to various surfaces
Providing decorative and faux finishes to Runway markings, Pavement marking and Road markings
Ability to perform safely and correctly use of painting & decorating hand and power tools, Planned preventative maintenance (PM) routines, Corrective maintenance (CM) Breakdown maintenance (BD)
Specific requirements
Industrial Training Institute Certificate / Diploma (2 year duration) in painting and decorating or equivalent (post high school)
IOSH Working Safely Certificate or equivalent
Current valid UAE driving licence is desirable
Minimum three (3) year experience within facility management and/or civil works or similar environment.
Airport experience is considered as added advantage for this position
