Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our dedicated team. The role requires an individual with a keen eye for cleanliness, excellent managerial skills, and a passion for providing exceptional guest experiences. As an Assistant Housekeeping Manager, you will assist in leading the housekeeping department, ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas meet our high standards of cleanliness and presentation. You will be responsible for managing staff schedules, conducting inspections, and collaborating with other departments to enhance operational efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the daily operations of the housekeeping department efficiently.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to housekeeping staff to ensure high standards of service.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness.
  • Coordinate with other departments to improve overall guest satisfaction and service delivery.
  • Develop and implement effective cleaning and housekeeping policies and procedures.
  • Manage staff scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts and operations.
  • Handle guest complaints regarding housekeeping issues promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in training and developing the housekeeping team to improve skills and efficiency.
  • Maintain inventory levels of housekeeping supplies and ensure timely orders when necessary.
  • Implement and monitor energy conservation and waste reduction programs in housekeeping.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and hotel policies.
  • Support the Housekeeping Manager in budgeting and financial management activities.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a supervisory housekeeping role in a hospitality environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and staff.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Proficiency in using housekeeping management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and standards in the hospitality industry.
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant certification in hospitality management is preferred.
