Associate Manager - Finance

ROLE PROFILE

• Support budget planning and cost control by monitoring store expenditures, identifying variances, and recommending cost optimization initiatives.

• Maintain strong internal controls by aligning store processes with Finance policies and ensuring compliance with audit standards.
• Oversee financial governance areas including fixed assets, payroll accuracy, supplier payment terms, stock controls, and shrinkage analysis.
• Conduct cash control audits (CCO), minimize financial risk exposure, and ensure implementation of internal audit recommendations.
• Lead financial reporting and analysis, including monthly closing (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), forecasts, annual budgeting, and performance reviews.
• Prepare business insights, performance presentations, and asset summaries to support stakeholder decision-making.
• Contribute to people management by supporting performance management, mentoring team members, identifying training needs, and ensuring adherence to corporate policies and manpower planning.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar finance role, including at least 2 years within the retail sector.
• Strong analytical and technical expertise in financial analysis, reporting, and performance evaluation.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS standards, investment appraisal, and capital budgeting.
• Effective project management and presentation skills with the ability to communicate financial insights clearly.
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly advanced Excel modeling.
