Lead and manage construction projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are safe, timely, and sustainable.
Prepare comprehensive engineering designs, including detailed drawings, layouts, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and all required project documents that meet established standards.
Conduct thorough site investigations, surveys, and tests to assess the suitability of construction locations, analyzing various geological and topographical data.
Develop detailed project cost estimates by calculating labor, material, and associated expenses, and prepare capital requests with strong economic justifications.
Create feasibility studies by analyzing designs, conducting environmental impact assessments, and compiling essential data for project viability.
Produce all necessary engineering documentation, including construction specifications, plans, and schedules.
Ensure strict adherence to construction specifications and safety standards through continuous monitoring, site inspections, and verification of calculations.
Assess potential project risks, materials, and costs, providing expert advice and creative solutions for any emerging problems or deficiencies.
Manage project budgets, purchase equipment and materials, and oversee the handover of completed structures and services.
Ensure full compliance with all statutory and legal requirements, including anticipating new legislation and enforcing adherence to permits and safety guidelines.
Apply strong civil engineering principles and problem-solving skills to overcome challenges effectively.
Executes Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Objectives and is responsible for driving the results in Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost in their respective areas.
Identify and capture all the KYTs and HIRA points to foster a strong safety culture. Provide safety training and ensure the process complies with EHS policies.
Assist the Department Leader in delivering Opex and Capex-related projects & ensure high levels of supply Quality.
Accountable for maintaining the availability of critical spares and consumables through effective inventory control for Civil Maintenance.
Strategic Responsibilities
Manage inventory of consumables and spare parts, ensuring a safe work environment and compliance with Construction standards.
knowledge of civil engineering design, including legal compliance, drafting, LISP programming, site development, planning, problem-solving, cost-saving strategies, modern construction techniques, and visualization software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
Proficiency in critical civil engineering tasks such as site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, and navigating statutory and regulatory approval processes.
Strong capabilities in project management, design, conceptualization, and supervision, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsible for the smooth execution and supervision of ongoing projects and plant modification activities, delivering them within the stipulated timeframe with a strong focus on both safety and quality.
Internal Stakeholders
Production team members, EHS, Procurement, SOIP, Finance, HR/Admin, Maintenance, and QC/QA.
Required Skills And Capabilities
Statistical analysis and problem solving.
Knowledge about Safety-HIRA and Risk Assessment.
Knowledge of CI Projects, TPM, Kaizen, Kanban, OEE, and POKA-YOKE is preferable.
Shift management
Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks.
Basic computer skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets & Workplace
Budgeting and financial planning.
Ability to operate & update data in SAP, Google suite, and understand & develop drawings in AutoCAD.
Academia
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering.
Preferred Industrial Background
Engineering and manufacturing industries background.
Continuous process industry like – Sanitaryware/Ceramic /FMCG/Automobile/Cement/Oil & Gas/Steel/Paper.
Professional Experience
At least 5+ years’ experience in Civil Construction & Maintenance.
