We are actively seeking an ambitious individual to join the Leveraged Acquisition Finance (LAF) team within the Capital Markets & Advisory (CMA) function as an Associate. The role holder will assist/manage the origination and execution of bank market or private credit financing for ‘event-driven’ or ‘flow’ transactions through effective interaction with both internal and external parties. The role’s scope will encompass origination and execution of financing transactions structured in conventional and / or Islamic format and ESG / Sustainable Financing elements.
In This Role, You Will
- Develop, populate and analyze financial models, perform detailed sector and company research as directed and perform cash flow, debt financing, comparative and pro forma analysis.
- Prepare new business presentations, draft marketing and execution memoranda, conduct market/ industry research and quantitative analysis, and attend client presentations as required.
- Develop appropriate financing structures/models, prepare submission materials to various credit and capital committees and anticipate credit issues, market trends and competitive dynamics etc.
- Execute the transaction including negotiation of key commercial aspects of the financing documentation and be responsible for associated reporting and data management requirements, such as fee/income reporting, transaction status/documentation, deal folders, insider/confidential registers, league tables, term sheets, orderbooks, etc.
- Proactively interact with clients and various levels of management, act as an integral part of the team.
- Contribute to the achievement against targets for revenue generation, product alignment, customer satisfaction etc.
- Assist senior stakeholders to provide solution-oriented coverage to clients at the senior Treasurer and C-Suite level.
- Assess client risk profile and prepare content on market conditions to develop specific solutions for clients across industry themes.
- Partner with wider Banking and CMA teams to identify cross-sell opportunities.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure early-stage deal support.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Strong and proven technical knowledge on leveraged finance / syndicated loans / private credit, and demonstrated ability to understand & manage a diverse and complex product set
- Solid transactional experience with excellent execution skills and industry knowledge
- Advanced understanding of risk management and risk mitigation
- Proven record of proactively supporting the development, origination and execution of client solutions
- Excellent analytical, mathematical skills with detailed-oriented, problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent project and time management skills and a commitment to learning new skills and processes
- Demonstrated understanding of market and regulatory developments in the Middle East and the syndicated loans / leverage finance business, its products, clients, systems and key processes
- Good interpersonal skills, articulate and self-assured with an ability to interact with different levels of clients, investors, borrowers, colleagues and market peers
- A graduation degree is essential for obtaining a UAE visa and work permit. If your university certificate is from outside the UAE, up-to-date attestations and equivalency are also mandatory (Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications Issued Outside The UAE).
