Associate Investment And Portfolio Management

The Role

Based in Ras Al Khaimah. The role covers two areas: supporting performance improvement across the existing portfolio, and executing M&A transactions at the IDO or portfolio-company level. The Associate also provides periodic support to the Rating department.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Management

• Build analytical work to support performance-improvement initiatives and work alongside VPs and Directors through implementation.
• Conduct industry and company research for portfolio reviews and Investment Committee purposes.
• Consolidate management and operational information from portfolio companies using prescribed reporting templates.
• Contribute to Investment Committee and PRC document preparation and presentation.
• Interface with portfolio-company management and third-party advisors.
  
  

Investment

• Execute M&A transactions at the IDO or portfolio-company level, coordinating workstreams and managing third-party advisors through to completion.
• Build financial models, projections, and valuations to support transactions.
• Conduct industry and company research for in-house due diligence and initial Investment Committee review.
• Follow up on commercial and financial due diligence undertaken by third-party advisors.
  
  

Rating Support

• Provide periodic analysis and commentary on RAK Government financial performance for the Rating department.
• Address rating queries and provide support required for agency submissions.
  
  

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor\'s degree in finance or a related field.
• 3–6 years of M&A experience at an investment bank or private equity firm.
• Demonstrated ability to build financial models and lead analytical modules covering industry dynamics and company performance.
• Strong command of analytical work, large datasets, and presentation-quality output.
• CFA or MBA from a recognised institution is a plus.
